The New Table

I've been wanting to do something like this for a while, but it takes me a long time to get around to things. I love it. It has been well received and everyone likes exploring the map and learning new places and names, my daughter has already gone through one page of brain teasers. It's not fancy but it's fun and educational. I plan on switching out art and brain teasers but the map will stay.

I love it! Did you just cover it with that thick plastic you can get at JoAnn's? I've done something similar over a tablecloth but never thought about putting pictures and maps under the plastic. Awesome idea, Nicky!

Yes Melanie, I should have said I covered it with mid weight vinyl from the cloth store. I took a hair dryer to it to get out wrinkles and it kind of shrunk it to the table but has since stretched and moved, thus the ripples, it changes, but it tends to mostly stay in place.

Love it!!! When I bring back the wood glue I would love to see this in person! (which will hopefully be tomorrow!)

This really is a good idea. I'm new to your blog but love what I've found here, especially the food and recipes you share with your readers. I'll definitely be back. I hope you have a great day. Blessings...Mary
